October 14, 2008 – 9:49 am

Papua Diving is very excited to announce that during the entire month of December they will have Leon Joubert & Claudia Pellarini-Joubert of Bittenbysharks.com on hand to give assistance to aspiring underwater photographers or videographers.

Claudia Pellarini- Joubert and Leon Joubert are full time professional photographers and MSDT Instructors, committed to increasing awareness of the plight of the ocean through the creation of world-class underwater imagery which is essentially an art form. Widely acclaimed, their award winning work is regularly published and broadcast internationally. Their extensive experience comes from having worked closely for many years with the world’s leading underwater imaging experts in the field. Trail blazers in the realm of digital underwater photography, they have broken new ground with a unique hands-on approach, sharing their knowledge with all levels of aspiring underwater digital shooters, during workshops and dedicated photographic expeditions.

If you are an aspiring underwater photographer or videographer, beginner or advanced, no matter what camera you have, this is your opportunity to gain insight into the world of underwater imaging by learning from the pros. Get hands-on practical assistance, before, during and after your dives while in the Raja Ampat. The aim is to improve your underwater photography & videography, over-all technique and knowledge. With their help, you will discover ways to coax great shots out of even the simplest underwater camera. Post dive critique of your images & video footage on 20” IMAC monitors will guide you in the right direction, refine your underwater needs and track your improvement. You will also benefit from their professional knowledge of subtle ‘non-invasive’ image enhancement techniques.

Claudia and Leon have extensive experience photographing the Raja Ampat: let them show you how to capture the light rays shining through the overhead jungle in The Passage; how to creep imperceptibly closer to the ‘sleeping barracudas’ on Sorido Wall; how to document incredible colour and light at Mike’s Point; how to get the sharpest, closest pygmy shot possible within your cameras limitations; how to go about getting an over-under image; how to shoot the giant Mantas at Manta Point….allow them to inspire you and you will capture the true essence and spirit of the Raja Ampat. Claudia and Leon will do their best to answer all your questions during and after short talks, and interesting slideshows in the evenings after dinner.

If you are already planning on diving in Raja Ampat or are lanning to dive in December this would be an amazing opportunity to enhance your skills. For more information contact www.enquirie@symbiosis-travel.com, info@papua-diving.com, info@bittenbysharks.com
