Angkor Through the Ages
Overview

Choose where you sleep

This is a chronological encounter with the temples, allowing visitors to understand the architectural evolution of Angkor, as successive kings left their mark on the Khmer empire.

Beginning in the 9th Century with Jayavarman II’s city of Hariharalaya at Roluos, we also travel north to Koh Ker and the centre of the brief reign of the usurper king, Jayavarman IV in the 10th Century, and a trip to the river‐bed carvings at Kbal Spean, which were only re‐discovered in 1969.

Then it’s back to the main Angkor Park for some of the most impressive man‐made temples anywhere on the planet, completing the tour with the majestic Angkor Wat and the city of Angkor Thom, built by the last great Khmer king, Jayavarman VII.
