MV Colona VI offers dive safaris to Thailand's top dive spots in the Andaman Sea, including the famous Similan & Surin Islands national parks, Koh Bon, Richelieu Rock (renowned for whaleshark and manta ray sightings) to the north of Phuket, and Hin Daeng & Hin Muang to the south.
Similans trips are eaither 4 or 6 days duration whilst southern trips are 2 days, 2 nights. To see the best of Thailand's diving, combine the 4 day northern safari with the 2 day southern trip.
National Marine Park Fees
Nearly all the diving done is in National Marine Parks. This involves a fee that goes directly to funding the Park Rangers that look after the park and the maintenance and instalation of mooring buoys.
There are three Marine Parks that MV Colona VI visits, Hin Daeng & Hin Muang, Similans and Surin. Each of these parks will charge a 400 Thai Baht entrance fee with an additional 200 baht per day per diver.
This means that currently there are the following Marine Park Fee's to be paid onboard

4 Day 4 Night Northern Cruise : 1600 Thai Baht
6 Day 6 Night Northern & Southern Cruise : 2000 Thai Baht
6 Day 6 Night Northern Cruise : 2000 Thai Baht
8 Day 8 Night Andaman Islands : 1000 Indian Rupee
9 Day 9 Night Burma Cruise : 2000 Thai Baht plus US$200

Northern Andaman Sea
The Similan's and Surin Islands - 4 Days
14 Dives: 4 Days, 4 Nights
SUNDAY - Depart from Patong Bay at 21:00. Sail overnight to the fantastic Similan Islands.
MONDAY - Three day dives around the Similan Islands. With a chance late afternoon to visit island no.4 for a couple of hours. Dive no.4 a night dive in Donald Duck bay at island no .four. Stay onboard overnight in one of the sucluded bays. Relax and watch a film or read a book.
TUESDAY - Dive no.5 at the Similan Islands, then onward travel to Koh Bon for Dives no.6 and 7. Dive no.8 could be either a sunset dive at Ko Tachai or a night dive at Koh Tachai. Stay onboard overnight at Koh Tachai. What a film or get an early night!
WEDNESDAY - Dive no.9 is at Koh Tachai, then onward to the world famous dive site Richelieu Rock for Dives no.10 and 11. Dive no.12 could be either a sunset dive at Ko Tachai or a night dive at Koh Bon. Travel back to Similan's to stay onboard overnight at one of the Similan islands.
THURSDAY - Dives no.13 and 14 at the Similan islands, then it's head back to Patong Bay. Disembarkation at Patong Bay, 18:00.

Southern Andaman Sea
Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and Phi Phi - 2 Days
7 Dives - 2 Days / 2 Nights
FRIDAY - Leave from Phuket at 21:00. Travel overnight to the fantastic Scuba Diving Sites of the South, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang.
SATURDAY - Three dives in total at Hin Daeng / Hin Muang. Then a either a sunset dive at Hin Daeng / Hin Muang or head off to the fantastic Phi Phi Islands for a night dive. Then relaxation on board with a book or film.
SUNDAY - Morning dive no.5 at Koh Bida Nok then continuation to dive site no.6 Shark Point. The last dive of the trip no.7 at the fantastic macro island of Koh Doc Mai. A Total of 7 dives. Disembarkation in Phuket at approximately 17:30.

The Colona VI
MV Colona VI is now running into her eighth season. This extremely comfortable vessel has been running smoothly since her first operation, and proves to be very popular with repeat customers.
On Colona VI, space and comfort are the theme. Guest numbers are limited to 14 people per trip so on the 28m boat you will never feel crowded.
There are 6 twin cabins and 1 double cabin. Each cabin has its own private shower and toilet. All cabins have fitted cupboards keeping personal belongings conveniently stored away. The large panoramic window in each cabin also gives the interior lots of light.
The roomy dive deck area comfortably accommodates 14 divers and 2 dive guides. The custom-built tank benches minimizes any clutter. There are two freshwater showers to hand and a freshwater bucket for cameras, video equipment and dive computers.
At mealtimes, make your way up to the dining area, and choose between delicious Thai or, for less spicy palates, 
European cuisine. All meal are buffet-style service which means that you can eat to your heart's content.
After your meal, relax back against the cushions, and watch a movie on our TV/DVD system, or listen to music CDs. Alternatively just lie down relax on 50 Sq meter sundeck. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available for purchase. Tea, coffee, and drinking water are freely available.
At the end of a relaxing day, retire to your air-conditioned cabin. Don't forget to plug in your dive torch before you sleep (220 a.c. international sockets in all cabins - no adapter needed).
Scuba Diving Courses
Colona offers a complete range of both PADI & SSI Scuba Diving Courses which are the largest training organisations for recreational divers. Students will have access to the latest education materials and professionally trained instructors.
