Macro Paradise: the diving around Kapalai is very easy and shallow but quite spectacular. The sandy bottom and the sparse coral heads host an amazing array of small, often yet-to-be-classified, shamelessly colorful subjects, making the diving here an unforgettable experience - especially for keen underwater photographers.
Sipadan Kapalai's in house dive centre offers three dives a day plus, on request and subject to a quota system, day trips to Sipadan & Mabul.

PACKAGE INCLUDES:
* Meet and land transfer from Tawau Airport to our Private Jetty at Semporna (70 mins) & return transfer.
* Boat transfer to Kapalai Island & return
* Accommodation on a twin/triple sharing basis on the Resort.
* Provide 3 boat dives daily except on arrival and departure days
* Unlimited dives in front of Kapalai Dive Centre
* Fresh Food Cooked by our Chef on buffet style.
* Afternoon snacks served after 3rd dive.
* Tea/Coffee, Cold Water and Cordial served throughout the day.
* Tanks, Weight and Belt are provided.
* No extra charge for night dives in front of dive centre for advanced diver or diver with night dive experience
* Limited dive gears are available for rental.

(1) Combining Diver and Non-diver is not allowed
(Diver have to decides between DIVER package or NON-DIVER package throughout the stay)
(2) To purchase dive package, one must be a certified /licensed diver
(3) Single/Solo traveler is subject to Single Surcharge for OWN CHALET with NO SHARING option
(Single Surcharge rate: additional 50% from the package rate above)
(4) Group Travel Option: One(1) pax FREE for every eight(8)paying pax
(Subject to same arrival and departure flight and time)
(5) 5% off from the package above for sharing 3 adults in a chalet. (maximum 4 adults in a chalet)
(6) 50% off from the NON-Diver package above for non-diver child 2 to below 12 yrs.
(7) Junior Diver (Child Diver) rate is based on PACKAGE A above.
(8) Pregnant Women are not allowed to KAPALAI Resort.
(9) No dive allowed within 24 hours to departure flight time.
(10) Snorkel by boat is not available.
(11) Diver guest are encourage to bring along their own dive equipment.

4. Flight Timing Guide
Arrival :
Book the earliest flight to arrive Tawau. Latest by 1430 hrs, for transfer to resort on same day.
1st boat into KAPALAI is at 1000 hrs, earliest flight to look for is from Kota Kinabalu arrival Tawau around 0740 hrs.
Departure:
Book any flight from 1000 hrs onward.
To stay up to last departure boat at 1330 hrs from KAPALAI, earliest flight you can look for is anytime from 1700 hrs.
This unique dive resort is built on a sand bar only 15 minutes from its more famous neighbour, Sipadan Island. The sand bar was many years ago the island of Kapalai, but erosion has taken its toll on what was once a truly beautiful island. The village sits on what is known as the Ligitan Reefs, a very extensive stretch bordering the deep and vast Sulawesi Sea.
The underwater scene at Kapalai is completely different from Sipadan's. It is a macro world of significant interest featuring rare subjects ranging from dragonets, fire gobies, partner & sleeper gobies, wasp or leaf fish, gurnards, the strange "little dragonfish" or seamoth, the tame crocodile fish, giant frogfish of different colors, eels, rays?just to name a few.
Sipadan Kapalai Resort is constructed on erected stilts over the water and guests can observe the antics of squids or the never-ending raids of the needlefish and halfbeaks into shoals of silversides and anchovies from their balcony.
With the eviction of all dive centres on Sipadan Island itself at the end of 2004, Kapalai has become one of the most in-demand places to stay for those wishing to dive the awesome Sipadan drop off, Shark & Baracuda Points etc. which will still be possible (by quota), therafter.
Sipadan Kapalai's 50 wooden chalets, offering twin and triple sharing accommodation, each have a cleverly thought-out balcony that offers the total sought out privacy by lovers of sunbathing and sun tanning.
From the windows and balcony of the elegant and spacious rooms, you can spend endless hours watching the marine life just a couple of feet below.
Other resort facilities includes dive centre which provides diving, snorkeling and kayaking gear and equipment for rental, souvenir shop, game room and internet access. For those who are yet to venture into diving sports but would love to, Sipadan Kapalai's PADI Dive Instructors offer a variety of PADI courses.
