Cambodia Cycle Touring

Cambodia offers terrific cycling, both on and off road. The highlight of nearly all cycling trips in Cambodia is Angkor Wat, the vast temple complex at Siem Reap. But there is more to Cambodia than Angkor Wat, and cycling offers the perfect vehicle for exploration.

The magic of Cambodia, it is often said, lies in the country side, where the pace of life suits cycling speed. Some of the best off-road cycling can be found at Kirirom National Park, just a couple of hours from the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. Further afield, the mountains of Ratanakkiri in the northeast and the Cardamom mountains in the southwest provide miles and miles of rugged off-road cycling. For road cycling enthusiasts, the gentle slopes on the road to the coastal town of Sihanoukville offer pleasurable climbs and breathtaking views of the Cambodian coastline.
