Bomb Explosions in Thailand

Around 22.00 hrs last night, Thursday 11 August, two bombs exploded in Hua Hin around 20 minutes apart in the town centre. The explosions happened in Soi Bintabat, an alley with bars in the entertainment area of Hua Hin.

Most of the damage and injuries are attributed to the second explosion. Early information points at that these bombs indeed aimed at causing casualties. Currently no motives or responsibility have been claimed.

The explosions leave one Thai woman dead and several people injured, including a number of Foreign tourists.

  2. Bomb blast count rises – now reported to be 4 blasts in Hua Hin, 2 in Suratthani, 2 in Patong, Phuket, one in Trang and others on the beaches in Phang Nga Province. Still no one claiming responsibility.
